Vacation: : a scheduled period during which activity is suspended

I'm now officially on day 1 of my vacation or what I will refer to as my stay-cation because I have no funds to go anywhere but I am sure I will have no problem finding something to get into. Today I have a friend coming in town. She wants to go out to a bar or club but I am over the Nashville bar/club scene. I think I'm just tired of the club scene in general. I will humor her though because I do miss my friend and it will be nice to hang out with her again and I get to meet her new boyfriend.

Tomorrow I'm going to get my towel ready cause it's about to go down because I'm on a BOAT! or I will be tomorrow. The rest of the stay-cation shall be played by ear. I going hiking Tuesday as well. The goal of this stay-cation is to spend as little money as possible but to have as much fun as I can.

Complain: To express feelings of pain, dissatisfaction, or resentment.

Nothing bothers me more than a chronic complainer. Someone who, no matter what the situation, they will always find something to complain about. I often wonder what causes an individual to complain so much. This individual will complain about ever minute detail of life.

I often find my whole demeanor being brought down by associating with a chronic complainer. I do my best and try to not let it affect me but emotions are contagious.

I guess this will be trait number one hundred sixty-five to add to the traits of my perfect wife.

But in all seriousness I can respect a women who knows how to not sweat the small stuff.

Jerk: A foolish, rude, or contemptible person.

Sometimes I feel like I am the biggest jerk in the world! Do you ever go back over the things you have said and done over the course of the day and think "Damn! That was kinda asshole-ish."?

Cool: highly skilled or clever

If you're not familiar with The Cool Kids you're missing out on some fantastic hip hop! I myself have just became familiarized with the duo last year. They have become popular through their myspace page where they released the majority of their songs.

I had the opportunity to catch one of their shows late last year at a small venue here in Nashville. They were joined by Matt and Kim, if you have an opportunity you should check them out as well.

Jessica Gomes: "I LOVE HIP HOP"

This is the lovely Jessica Gomes. I think she is absolutely gorgeous but not only is she just a pretty face but she has substance. I read her blog on global grind from time to time. The post that caught my attention was one entitled "I'm not going to lie, black guys..." Where she expresses her love of hip hop and how it influenced her life.

Music is such a powerful tool. It can make you laugh, cry, and take you back to memories of old. A women who has a passion for music will have the same passion for life. There is nothing more attractive to me than a women who loves music! Not only a love for hip hop but an appreciation for all genres. Someone who can help me expand my knowledge of music as well.

Here's to you Jessica. Although you have a pretty face your love for hip hop is truly what captivates me.
